The year is 1964.
A relative peace has returned to Japan in the wake of Godzilla’s most recent rampage. The mighty beast has remained silent within the depths of the Pacific, and the surviving offspring of Mothra presides over the peaceful people of her faraway island. However, a new threat looms on the horizon, and its coming will threaten the survival of man and monster alike…
Following the failed assassination attempt of a foreign princess, a mysterious women begins attracting media attention in Japan for her bizarre, prophetic warnings of doom and calamity… and for claiming she’s from the planet Venus. At first, her warnings are dismissed, but when her predictions begin coming true, Japan finds itself staring down the barrel of a full-blown monster invasion. Rodan rises from its volcanic grave, Godzilla returns to battle the flying titan, and the coming of a massive meteorite heralds the arrival of a new and terrifying creature. Its name is King Ghidorah, and its advent could spell annihilation for not just Japan, but the entire planet.
As a crew of ruthless assassins move in on the prophetess and King Ghidorah begins its destructive reign, the last hope for survival lies in the forging of an unlikely alliance of giants. But can the combined might of Godzilla, Rodan, and Mothra hope to overcome a destroyer of worlds, or will Earth’s greatest battle also be its last?
