That’s right, folks! The GNP is proud to present not only the Prologue, but ALSO Chapter 1 of the unofficial novelization of Yoshimitsu Banno’s immortal tale of environmental catastrophe, fish heads, mouth harps, and flying lizards: 1971’s Godzilla vs. Hedorah!
This is a film I watched practically on loop as a child, and one that am still in love with to this day. To say it is an unusual film is the understatement to end ALL understatements, and it remains somewhat of an acquired taste in the Godzilla series. But for my money, its amazing, and its been wonderful having the opportunity to adapt Banno’s unique vision to the written word.
In fact, its been so much fun, that today’s GNP update includes TWO chapters of the adaptation! Once I started, I couldn’t stop, and just had to keep going. What can I say? I love this film!
Chapter 1 is the longest chapter I’ve written for a GNP novel so far, and hopefully its an enjoyable read. Chapter 2 is already in progress, and chances are it will be ready to send to my incredible Patreon backers within the week!
