This won’t be a long update, but I wanted to let you all know about a recently-published article that I was interviewed for!
Yesterday, the website KnowYourMeme.com posted an article entitled “Fandom in Context: The Enduring Allure of Movie Novelizations,” which delves into the history of the genre while also exploring the reasons behind why readers have come to love these books so much. The article’s author, KnowYourMeme.com senior editor Matt Schimkowitz, conducted several interviews with film novelization fans/collectors, and – wouldn’t you know it – one of them was me!
I answered a few questions about the GNP, and then gave some thoughts on what makes movie novelizations so special. My interview snippets were then incorporated into the final article.
This was a lovely surprise, and it meant a lot that Matt reached out to me for my thoughts. I was thrilled to contribute to the article, and I hope you’ll all give it a read!
